door handles, fuel door, antenna; do the post 98's have those little chrome bumper strips on the front and rear? I don't have the chrome strips but there is a little body colored outline of it etched oonto the front and rear bumpers, If you car has'em shave those too!! And for God sakes paint your grill ring!!

Shave the little rubber strips the go front to back on the roof. Antenna is a must go. Factory welds in the rear are outta there, along with the trunk key. If you want to get really creative, hinge the passenger side taillight and shave the gas door too!

I was just about to post that...if I ever get around to doing this, I am going to try to make that happen.

I'd shave the trunk lock (who uses the key?), the antenna has to go too (then get the one off of the Focus/VW) side markers, if you don't have them already. By the way, what color is it going to be?

Quick question,

If you shave your fuel door, how the heck do you get fuel into the car?

Gotta re-route the fuel filler neck somewhere else. Some people have hinged the outer taillight and put it there. Never seen it on a Contour though...

.. Then I saw the village's idiot with his fuel filler neck tie-wrapped in the trunk behind a panel.. dripping gas down on the trunk floor every time he'd fill'er up.. how stupid can you get.. smells great too..

thought about relocating the fuel fill to the trunk floor. they sell fillers that have flush mount screw in covers, i think they were originally designed for boats. almost did it to my elcamino, wanted the fill in the bed instead of the quarter panel.
