Ok...well, I was at Walmart yet again today, and I looked at the car wax stuff just for the fun of it...but now I am confused...what is the difference between the wax that is like a paste, the kind that is like a gel (liquidy), and the kind that you spray on? I saw all 3 of these kinds by turtle wax...standing side-by-side...and now i'm confused as to which one is better and which one is for what...can someone enlighten me? BTW...save the "Zainos is best" comments...I've been told that already and I probably will end up using it eventually

Ease of application basically. Some of the old guys like the paste. I like the Gel. Have no experience with the mist on stuff, I think its for quick detailing, like at an event. The paste and gel all drys the same its just a personal prefrence, I feel the paste drys up much quicker and is worthless, the gel lasts awhile in that bottle. Zaino is best. :p

Seems like thegel would be easier to work with- try that. the spray is what i use to touch up in between full wax.....................................................................zaino rocks! lol- j/k
but seriously- why not just get that now? all it took for me was looking at the pics page at the website. i am waiting till i get some next week. and like I said before- some of that other stuff can hurt your paint- ate all the paint off the hood of my Saturn.

Some cheap waxes leave darker cars looking smeared. Like you got armorall on the paint. I use Gliptone which is a carnuaba based paste. I dont think they sell it other than in new england. But from what I have seen, Zaino looks great whatever it is(paste, gel?).

I bought the new Eagle One "Wax As You Dry" stuff last week, and I am satisfied so far. I don't wax my car usually, and when I read the directions I figured it was quick and easy enough, even I couldn't screw it up. I did the whole car with about an ounce, and it leaves it really smooth. IMO, not bad for the price.

The spray on stuff is just a "maintence" between waxing or just to make your car look good at the shows/meets. Usually the paste will last longer, supposedly but I've never had any problems with using the liquid. Now as far as the gel goes, I've never heard of that, maybe that because Mequiars.....opps I'm sorry, you said not to say who's best Good luck and any questions feel free to email me, I like to detail cars on the side and have used/tried everything, except.......
