Swapped out my fog lamps yesterday due to the 885s melting my old fog lamp lenses and part of my bumper as well. eek frown

So...I decided to replace them with some 3A Racing foggies from the local Pep Boys. What do you guys think?

*Edited for better pics*

Just so you guys know they MUCH brighter and whiter than stock even with the 885 bulbs (which melted the plastic lens on my fogs after about 6 months...still salty about that).

Those look good, so the other bulbs melted part of the bumper??

Look good. My 885's melted the lens and bumper too.

I used the PIAA 510's as they look stock, and that is what I wanted.

Nice choice for the fogs BP, as well as the rims wink :p laugh My #885's have melted my lens as well but they still work for now and when I do need new ones, I will be getting the ION fog PIAA 510's, seeing how they're the actual foglights, not the clear driving lights like other get. Not that those aren't good but those are driving lights and need to be closer together because of the long, narrow beam they project, whereas the ION fogs are short, wide pattern they project wink

Thanks Roger. smile I wanted to get some PIAAs, but the $$ was hard to swallow. You have to pay to get the good stuff though. I know you're glad spring is here. Can't wait to see some updated photos of your svt, you've added quite a few mods since spring and they look great...isn't it about time for the cellos to go back on. wink laugh

Seanman:
The 885s not only melted the lens, but when I took off the fixture I noticed that it also melted/burned into a good portion of the bottom part of the bumper where the lens had begun to bulge out from the heat.

The 885s have worked fine for other folks, but not for me.

For Roger's pics you can go to clubphoto.com and type in his email address to find the album. Hold on a sec...I think this one will work. http://members7.clubphoto.com/roger469381/525401/guest.phtml
