Do you have to go to a auto body place to make it look nice? anyone have any ideas? or have done it themselves and want to help me figure out how to do this to my green contour svt.

I painted mine...if you have a good quality spray gun and a dustfree booth you can do it yourself.
Otherwise have it done in a autobody shop...my only recomendation is that you take it off yourself and mask it yourself...they usually don't have time to mask it properly.
When doing the reflector, paint the lower black bumper portion...looks much better all silver.

how much would you estimate that would cost? I know i should just got to the auto body place, but im just curious. You mean a little black stip at the bottom to match the black under the rear brake lights

Another option is Vinyl. I spoke with a customizing place nearby and they can match just about any color. it works very similar to tint, and he said it was about $60 for a piece big enough to do alot.

resonator removed, sho shop cold air intake, arospeed muffler, painted center ring with grill insert, painted interior pieces, clear side markers, debadged and dingless.

i spray tinted mine...looks hott all black...was very easy to do and ive had it on for over a yr and half and it is still lookin good...email me forpics or any info on how to do....illuzions5@aol.com

had mine painted at a bodyshop I think it looks much better...i hate that reflector sorry for the poor picture quality, but you get the idea

that's tight, but your reflector isnt the same color as your car.. its a lil darker

Dont dis something if you your self cant do it better. Silver Frost is one of the most difficult colors to match it has over 12 variance`s. Im a painter and trust me that is as good as the color can be matched consider they had nothing to blend into and pannel painted the reflector.... BTW looks killer to me.

Just curious, but why didn't you have the black trim around the license plate done? It's all one piece right?

I did the same thing to my silver contour. I took off the reflector, which is very easy to do. just open the trunk and unscrew the reflector from there. then disconnect any wires that may be connected. next you either tape it off and paint it yourself, or take it to a body shop and have them do it for you (i recommend taking it in). If you have a friend that works in a body shop, it would be a big plus.
