Hi, my 2000 SE has this ugly little SE plaque on the side, the older tour's had a nice square one, how are these connected, and is it possible to replace this? I've noticed the SVT has a "high output" badge, it just looks nicer! Any ideas?

Dental floss, the tape type. Just see-saw a length behind it, then rub the skin off of your thumbs to remove the remaining rubberized adhesive. There may or may not be an assembly locating hole behind the badge, a perfect opportunity for some side markers.......

Spray it with Goo Gone or WD40 first. Let it soak in and use some strong fishing line to saw through it, then keep soaking the residue with Goo Gone/WD40 while you use some thick gloves to rub it off. DO NOT use a heat gun/hair dryer, it only makes things harder (literally and figuratively).

Call Bill Jenkins 1-800-282-2290 and tell him your from the CEG to get the discount The hair dryer WILL cut your time in half, but you'll need someone to hold for you, then use some goo gone or WD40 to remove any of the old glue/two sided tape and finally put some wax over the area to protect it, may I suggest.......Mequiars

When I replaced my 24V DOHC badges with the 24V HIGH OUTPUT ones, I found the hair dryer melted the glue and made it much more difficult. I also debadged my trunklid two days before the car got totalled.

Sweet ok, I'll be giving Bill a call pretty quick, reattaching the new ones should just be a matter of cement or really strong glue or something right? Or do they come with an adhesive backing? Thanks for all the tips!

You guys and your thumb rubbing... I've got some soft plastic scrapers that don't damage the paint so long as you pressure wash it first and they take all of the sticky foam right off. Called "the little chizzler". Takes only 20 minutes or less to do all four ding strips and under a minute to do badges... Goo Gone will wipe off anything left behind... I'll have some at Spring Zing just in case...
