About to do the whole Zaino treatment, clay bar and all. But I've got some swirl marks I'd like to get rid of as well so I went ahead and bought the 3M swirl remover. The question is, should I use it before or after the clay bar?

I concur with my fellow MD-ers.
The crud you are removing isn't the leftover 3M, it's the crud from acid rain, bird droppings, water marks, etc......

It really does not get "rid" of them. By using the 3m first all your doing is filling the swirls with dirty paint which make the swirl marks more pronounce. Now by claying the car before the 3M you are creating a smooth surface.. well as smooth as you can get for a daily driver. With the smooth service the 3M will be able to fill the swirls perfectly. -Antoino

Meguiar's ScratchX works better than anything else I've ever seen. The 3M stuff is overpriced crap, it didn't do a damn thing for me.
