Just wondering if anyone has tried any of those paintless dent repair places to remove door dings or hail damage. I've got three minor door dings I'd like to get fixed and thought maybe they would be cheaper than a regular body shop. Anyone???

They usually do good work. Obviously, it depends on the shop and who is doing the work..

I was getting an estimate for some dents on my car, and there was a guy in at the place w/ a 2 week old S-Type getting a ding removed. I watched em work, and when they were done you could not tell that the ding was there before. Looked good as new.

I just submitted an online estimate form...I'll post the cost when I get it back. That's good to hear about the place you were at. It's so frustrating coming back to your car and seeing a new ding in the door. The first one was at my work and was from a rusted out white Olds Delta 88. Obviously he/she didn't care about damaging their door...but some people do!!

I've done it before, and the guy did an unbelieveable job.... Although I did not pay for it, I will in the future if the problem arises again.. General price can run from 50-75 for a quarter-size ding... It would be better to go to someone that does this on the side, and not through dent wizard... I'm sure it would be cheaper..

My boss does paintless dent repair and he does a great job. It looks pretty cool when they do it also.

I would recommend PDR. It is usually a lot cheaper than going to a body shop and having them bondo and paint. Then it is all original if you do PDR.

Had mine done about 2 weeks ago and was amazed at the work.

These guys know their stuff. They are at our shop constantly (we deal with collectible cars), and do excellent quality work. Way better than a body shop, and it is really neat to watch them work (which most of them enjoy, besides).
