I finally got the guts to remove my door dings. Took about half an hour using some dental floss to seperate the strip from the door panel and a credit card to remove the left over adhesive. Luckily for me the adhesive was not a pia at all to remove, it just rolled right off.

Here are the results:

Now I'll need to go out of my way to park away from the door bangers at work.

*Sigh*

Thanks! I was concerned that the car would look plain without them...

Not at all. I like it now that I've done it.

Props to you BP!

Jens(96)Tour: "Door Ding Guards" is a term we use loosely when talking about the painted bump strips on the doors. As you can see here, they can be taken off, for a nice and smooth look.

No fading at all. I kinda expected the paint around the area to be faded more than where the ding strips were, but the paint was in very good condition. Even upon close inspection you can't tell that there was ever anything covering the area where the strips were.

Maybe if the car was a different color it would've been noticeable.
