So I did the mod that I always read about on here about taking the door ding guards off. I must say that that makes the car look so much nicer (from a front angle atleast), but when viewed from the side, it seems to be missing something. I have come to the conclusion that it needs sideskirts. But here is the hard part, I don't know which ones to get.

I have done searches for the past 2 days on the boards and have only been able to find side views of SVT skirts, and angled shots of the SE skirts. So I cant make a good compairison. Here's what I hope you guys can help me with...

What are the measurements of the SE and SVT skirts? By this I mean distance from the ground to lowest part of the skirt on a stock setup.

Oppinions on how the different skirts would look on a 1995 white GL, with soon to come wing added on the back.

Part numbers for the different skirts, in case I order them from Bill Jenkins.

Side pictures if anyone has them. Like I said, I did a search and pretty much turned up nothing.

If you guys could help me with this it would be great! smile A fellow CEG'er asked me if I am interested in buying his SE skirts when he replaces them with the SVT ones, so I just wanted to get a general feel for what everyone thinks about this matter. If the SVT ones dont look too goofy with the non-SVT bumpers, then I might just get those. It's all in your guys hands which set I buy (Sorry for the pressure, LOL) so I hope you can reply.

Thanks in advance smile

If you plan on gettin the SVT bumpers get the SVT sides. If not stick with the SE sides. The SVT ones hang a bit low and would not match the non-SVT bumpers

You might find someone that has some SE skirts that would be willing to sell them to you since most people are getting the SVT sideskirts. Check the classifieds, too.

Well, I dont plan on getting the SVT bumpers. I think if I got new bumpers, I would get a pre 98 set from a junk yard and then customize those similar to what micah did, and make my own body kit.

Since you guys have been right about everything else, i'll get the SE ones. They will still look sporty right? I would hate to loose that look it gained from removing the door guards.

I got an email from someone who was willing to sell theirs to me, but they were asking almost as much as they cost new. That seems a little steep for something used, that I have to get repainted probably anyhow. I did find some pictures of a member named Jose who has the SVT skirts on his car. They really dont look that bad. Although in one of the pictures it looks like he had something added onto the front bumper. Other than that it is still a stock pre 98 bumper. Tell me what you guys think, just imagine it white like mine. smile

If you guys think it looks fine, and wouldn't goof on my if I bought them, 125 for a set brand new from Bill Jenkins doesn't seem that bad. I can always get a custom peice made for the front and back to bring the bumper down if I want.

here is the link to Jose's car.

I was interested in getting the SVT side-skirts as well but couldn't find any pics with the SVT side-skirts without the SVT bumpers on an SE. Seems like they would look out of place without the bumper to match.

I'll stick with mine. A good pic of my sideskirts from the side are in my profile.

Well, after looking at some SE skirts, IMHO with no offense to BP or anyone else, the SE skirts still look a little off. They come down at more of an angle than the bumpers do, and it just doesn't seem to create a flow. I think I will go with the SVT skirts. Does anyone have the part numbers or know where I can find them so I can order them from Bill? Or maybe some more oppinions on the matter...

Thanks BP for the post, that is the best picture of SE skirts I have seen yet. Nice cart by the way, very clean and love the rims.
