Have any of you been able to install a light in the knob that indicates whether your lights are on or not? I know the surrounding lights up, but it would be easier to see if the actual knob were visible.
I took the switch off, but I didn't quite know how to get it apart to see if there was a place to put a light.
Any ideas?

Why not mount an indicator light somewhere else? I don't think that you will be able to mount one in there. You can mount a led in the dash or in the vents that is on when the lights are on.

Actually, I have done this. At Spring Zing 00 I noticed in Todd R. car that the part you turn actually lit up. I found that all 95-97 Contours had this feature. I went to the local salvage and got a headlight switch out of a 95 se. I had to run a jumper wire in the switch to get it to light though.

Good luck, One of my favorite aesthetic mods yet.

So you can simply pull off the knobs of the older ones?
Do you have any pics of your install? Is the knob the same?

BTW: Awesome job on your site. I loved the pics.

I don't think non fog light switches have this feature. Not positive though.

interesting. Maybe Pollo_loco69 will be a real pal and send me one from his junkyard. I have been unable to find one in this area that has 'tours. They all say 'they're too new'... whatever!
