Does anyone on here by anychance know of any specific paint number out there to match the color of the rear reflector's red color? I have a Navy Blue 'tour and Painting the Chrome strip black will not look right, and finding a match for the blue is going to be close to impossible(at least I think, if you know anyone who makes it in a spray can, not just the touch up jars, let me know) So i figured I would go with a red to match the reflector. Just something to make it a little bit different.
TIA! smile

Look on the side of your drivers door and you will find the EXACT paint code for the color of your car. take it to any Auto paint store and they should be able to hook you up.

hes talking about the color of the reflector lens i think.. best bet would be to go to a PPG dealer and use one of their color match sheets.

Well, I want to paint the Reflector Chrome strip... I see alot of Tour's with the reflector painted body color.. but I saw that one Contour with the mystique rear reflector and I liked it except for the black Circle in the middle, so I figured why not jsut paint the Chrome Strip Red to match the reflector? I havent seen that done yet, and It would be kind of original.I guess Ill jsut have to bite the bullet and get a red and try it out.
Howdy back at ya fellow Texan. laugh
As far as matching the color when I paint the oval up front, would you go with a one step paint(with reducer and hardner) or would you go 2 step(base clear coat) ..
I remember when I painted the trim on my volvo that had a clear coat, I went one step, and it wasnt too bad(had the color matched to the gas door)and would this paint adhere to vinyl?(Ie if i wanted to do a custom vinyl eyebrow?)
Sorry Im full of alot of questions today!
