Hey all -

I had to replace the passenger mirror on my 98 CSVT due to an infuriatingly unsucessful skirmish with the garage. The replacment I got from Ford looked right until I mounted it on the car. It seems to sit lower and and at a slightly different angle than the original one did. The parts guy claimed that there is no difference between the mirrors on any of the contours, which is what I expected.

Anyone else experience this? Is there a difference between the mirrors? The mirror assembly cost around $118 if it helps.

I have the same thing on mine. I suspected the pass. side was repaired as there is overspray and compound residue on that side. And the mirror does hang a little different. Recently bought used from dealer in NJ and don't have a history on it. No chassis damage or repair, so was probably like yours, a broken mirror from a moving garage wall.

I work at advance auto, and recently had an incident with a mail box, and took out my passenger side mirror also..don't ask...so i ordered one up, and it was the finish like it mounts to the door, and it too look like it sat differently, so I believe there is two different once.s
