It was a PIA cause the forums were down, so I had to figure it out on my own but it worked out.

For the top grille:
I ended up taking the grill out by unscrewing the two screws at the top of the grill visible when you open the hood. It slides out after that with some wiggling, there are two clips on the side near the bottom of the grille that help to secure it so be careful not to break those. After that I ended up taking the chrome oval ring completely off, some clips secure it to the grill and I ended up using a screw driver to seperate it. That was the PIA part. Then I just put the mesh over the grille and cut it in the shape of the grille, used some hot glue to secure the mesh to the grill around the edges. Used some more hot glue and super glue to secure the oval back on to the grille itself where I seperated it, used rubber bands to hold it tightly in place and let it dry. Did some post inspection and everything was solid so I just bolted it right back on afterwards.

Bottom Grille:
On the 98+ models you can just pull the black plastic insert right out. There are 2 post that run down the middle where the plastic insert clips itself on two the bumper so watch out for that. After removing I just cut some mesh to the shape of the plastic insert and used bonding glue all the way around as well as some paper clips to hold it. I also glued the mesh near the top of the posts. Had to do some touch up with glue where it was not secured to the edges of the insert afterwards. I did not cut the mesh perfectly around the edges of the insert so some would be left for closer trimming afterwards. The extra mesh I simply pinch-folded around the sides and bottom of the grille, trimmed at the top even with the two posts and cut the remaining mesh around the sides and and bottom away so it wouldn't block the clips at the bottom of the insert. After everthing dried I slid the insert right back in place and folded the mesh in towards the engine bay at the top where some of it wasn't even.

The bottom part was pretty easy, it was the top that cause the biggest headache.

The glue I used was 3M plastic emblem & trim adhesive. I tried the gutter gaurd but it seemed a bit too transparent, I ended up using two layers of silver screen mesh over the grille inserts for reinforcement and gave the look I wanted.
