I was thinking of putting a new rear view mirror in my SVT. I would like to put one in that has the outside temp, direction, and the map lights, but what to get one from, how to install it. Anyone know of a kit out there?
Also, since there is virtually no lighting in the back seat of the SVT's w/sunroofs, has someone out there put a light in the doors or something? I thought about that touch light that you can stick on anything, but realized that to be a bad idea. Thanks,
Mike

Dont know anything about the rear view mirror. But I know you can get a mystique rea light assembly and put it in. There was a how to in the mods section it should still be there if you have any ?'s.

donnelley (sp?) and gentex both make OEM mirrors with the temp sensor/compass gauges. These mirrors are also the auto-dimming and prevent glare. I know a lot of people here have them installed (there was a CEG group buy once). You can also find them on ebay, just make sure you get the temp sensor included.

I wonder if they have one that reads how many miles you have left in your gas tank along with the temp and direction like the rear view in the Expedition.

Found this mirror on Ebay. Seems to have some nice numbers but I really dont know how many people want to drop 1200$ on a mirror. http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=599770198&r=0&t=0

Just FYI- I looked but could not find a dimming/compass/temp mirror ~WITH~ map lights. Was looking to do this on my Mustang GT conv. Stock mirror has the map lights, but no temp/dim/compass.

with Gentex self-dimming mirror/compass combo (no temp or map lights)
