I know that everyone has their own tastes of what looks best, but I am unsure of what to do with my window tint. I have a silver SVT and I have the windows presently tinted. When I took it in to tint them, I told them mirror tint. Well they gave me this tint that is on the lexus, the goldish kinda look well at first I was like ???? ehhhhhh.... and I left it on cause I got a deal on it, what an azz I was. I wated the actual MIRROR tint, but now I am looking towards the Limo 5% . I know its totaly illegal and all, but that is besides the point . I want your ideas of what I should go with black, or mirror. Oh yeah take into thought my rear lower valance around the exhaust was painted along with the silver on the car.

I greatly appreciate your thoughts and time...Thanx laugh

I have a silver SVT with the fade-mirror tint and I love it. Here's a picture. My vote goes to mirror. Legal and looks good with silver. laugh

You gotta go with what you like! Don't settle otherwise you won't be happy. Limo tint is a safe bet.

IMHO, 5% limo tint is too much. I agree with Wthermans, go with Mirror...its legal in most states and looks awesome with silver paint.

You want 5% tint and have to drive through Eastpoint and Roseville eek brave soul you are Mr.SVT! Now why not just get the 50% and take it from there confused

Limo would look better, but remember, it's gonna be dark as hell driving at night. My friend has a Camry with limo (he's a cop, so he's not worried smile ) and when i drove it one night, it was way too dark. You could hardly see out the side windows.

I have 15% metallic tint.

Lets the glass look very reflective, cuts more light & heat transfer and is resistant to fading (unlike the typical dyed tint - which SUCKS!)

20% is the darkest I would personnaly go. Its just a shade under the legal limit, open the sunroof shade and it looks legal.

I am also not a big fan of the mirror tint, but like it has been said already, its your car, and your opinion in the long run is all that matters.

Wthermans:

Where do I buy this fade-mirror tint?

That looks so cool

Guess that it would also look great on a white car.... cool

how many % is it?

Check around in you local yellow pages for a place that tints windows and they can usually tell you. I had mine done by a place like that for $135 and I had it done on my 98 SE also. My tint is right at 35% (legal limit here in TN). I really like it.
