Alright, I bought a 4" LCD today and should be here next week.. Where should I mount it? Hmm I am thinking maybe the Sun visor? Anyone ever cut into that before? Secondly, PS2 PS1.. how do I keep down the vibration from making the CD skip, I figure I will fabricate the glove compartment somehow to use to hold it.. Any ideas hint how - to's personal experiance would be great...

I can help with this. Do you have a moonroof? If not, I suggest mounting it up there. If so, which visor do you want to put it in, and who is going to get the crick in the neck looking at it? smile

I don't have a moon/sunroof, but mounting it up there how? It's not a drop down it's just a LCD screen with a detachable circuit board, How would you suggest mounting it up top Chris?

What are the outer dimensions of the entire unit, not just the screen? Also, what kind of input does it take? RGB, composite (RCA)?

I had a 14.1" that I was going to mount somewhere but I could not, for the life of me, find a place to mount it. I would have had to remove the HU and relocate the HVAC panel to even think of mounting it in the dash. I just put it on a computer and gave it to my wife.

Did you think about mounting it int he glove box...once you opened it there should be enough space and if not then you could put lower stops on it. So it would come down further. Plus it would be hide away. Just a thought.

If I were you, I'd put it in the sun visor in place of the mirror, either in yours or the passenger side. You could also buy another one and put them in the headrests depending on how many people you have ride back there if any.

If you really wanted to go wild you could actually install a 4" monitor into your steering wheel and hook it up to a navigation system and/or a license plate mounted camera that automatically comes on when you put the car in reverse. That way you could also have navigation literally at your fingertips.

I really don't have dimensions yet, it does take RCA inputs I know that. My SVT send some pics over to ryan.turner@cingular.com

It still hasn't come in the mail yet, I am leaning towards the sun visors right now. I know I will be putting one in on the drivers side as well, thinking of going with a ps2 in the dash, which leaves the problem of where to hide a power inverter. Also I figure the visor is plastic with fabric over it, so how to cut so I can reuse everything...bleh I will just have to pull apart and play, MYSVT how did you do it? Send any other ideas my way guys..
