Rear ended by a Jeep Grand Cherroke while I was doing 55mph. My car had 1400 miles on it at the time. It hit above the frame. $7400.00 in repairs. Still driving the car.

Yup... been there, done that... Actually... I wrecked TWO contiques at the SAME time.. I was driving my 95LX, with my current girl, and my sister and her husband were following me in THEIR 98SE.. (from out of town) Well... long story short.. Traffic stopped... I stopped... he didn't.... rear-ended me at 60mph, when I was dead still.. Totalled his car, $2200 damage.. totalled my rear-end, $2950 damage. Knocked me across the median, into oncoming traffic... all four people walked away unscathed (with the exception of my sister's ankle (her fault, had her feet in the dash...) Other than that, no damage to anyone... EXCELLENT cars, VERY safe...  my .02 Ray

My 98 Zetec got creamed while parked on the side of the road by some kid in his '86 Daytona! Here's the worst part - 3 of us were sitting in the car listening to a CD! I saw him coming in the rearview, looked to the side waiting for him to pass, but nope, WHAMMO! Thank god I was in neutral with no emergency brake either! A really big push from standing still to about 40 mph! He ended up on his roof Dukes of Hazzard style after he ramped over my left rear tire. Girlfriend in the back had sore ribs, bruised leg, buddy in passenger seat had a sore neck, my head met the steering wheel with a nasty bump. The kid crawled out the passenger window!
Car was totalled as the trunk now resided right against the back seats, damaged front seats etc. etc. Blessing in disguise - got a 98 SE Duratec with leather for about $300!!! Insurance paid me serious cash, I was amazed!

Man, my friend's 89 Mercedes suffered over $3000 to the front end, they had to order parts specific from Germany, and it still wasn't declared totalled. Plus, I thought - I mean, I hope - that the 98 SE itself is worth a bit more than $2200.

Had my new CSVT for less than a week.Got blinded by the sun on a twisty mountain road. Drove through a guard rail and down into a ravine. Both airbags deployed. I was stopped by a tree from plunging 50 feet further down into the ravaine. Car came to rest upside down and backarwads against the tree. Walked away with minor bruises and scratches. CSVT was totaled! Bought another one the next day. Dealer was amazed when I told him how I totaled the first one and walked away. Insurance took care of everything (AAA California).

i was test driving a lexus and be got rear ended by a seimi doing about 40 mph we got out of there fast because the semi kept going after i floored it to get out of the way, any ways it kept going and the semi hit an infiniti and a mercades the people in them were ok but the cars were not, the infiniti cought on fire and the mercadies did too soon after they both blew up.. the reason the two cars blew up was because the semi acadently floored it instead of braking!!! the really scary part was the it was a semi thet was pulling a gas trailer!!!! the lexus suffered little damage, a dent inthe bumper! i dont have pictures but if you were watching the news on january 20th 2001 in houston then you probably saw it. the reason i remember the date soo well was because it was my birthday!
1998 contor GL red v6 my audio stuff got stolen! guess i have to get a alarm!

98.5 CSVT hit the center highway wall at 70 mph to 80 mph after popping out of a ditch. Both air bags went off cracked windshield and cracked dash. Car totaled and I walked away.
2000 CSVT got hit in the back at 20 mph. Guy pushed me for about 2 feet. Put 6" lond cracked bumper. No other damage.
Son Rolled my brothers 98 CSVT 4 times at about 40 mph. Son was knocked-out but no injuries were found and the passenger walked away with no injuries.
