ok here's my dilemma. i pay an absurd amout per year for insurance. i want to sell my car and get something a little older (2-3 years) so I won't have a need to have full coverage on it. this way i save about 300-400 a month. plus i have some issues with my car that i can't afford right now, dealing with my fear of the tranny breaking. my options are find an SHO with the yamaha V6 or the thunderbird SC so far. i am a ford guy, so i wanna stick with them. but i want something faster then my car, manual, sporty, and something with an aftermarket, and something that is reliable and build very well, i've heard good things of the sho... or get a new tranny, dealer quoted me $2600 CDN. but then im still stuck with an auto  any ideas or suggestions? thanks

would, but i want to keep the price down. but trust me i would if i had the means. i hate to say it but i am sorta looking for a downgrade. in terms of year and price. but i still want a rock solid car that is really fun to drive.

get an svt focus. $17000 and the aftermarket will be flooded. of course that's if u like the looks of it (i dont)

Full coverage is your choice unless the vehicle is financed. Then it is required. Basically what you are saying is you want to outright buy a car and choose to run liability insurance only. Right? If you want to get a Ford with a big aftermarket. Get a Mustang. Cheap, easy to find, huge aftermarket, etc...

yea i want to buy it outright with what i get for my car. that way it is my choice and i will do without collision until my rates go down in a year. and a mustang, meh, i already have a belly button. i don't think i would buy a stang. maybe a newer one, but not now in my situation.

Find a fully loaded 95 se.............not that I'm biased or anything.

not kidding by the way. tip of the day - dont pull out in front of an ex cop, they will make you pay. and trust me this guy did. now i pay about $840 a month and im guessing collision on my car is 1/3 - 1/2 of that. so any tips or stories about thunderbird SC or SHO's ?

Find your local Governemnt or repo auction go there. I got a 99 Contour LX power everything mint condition 4000 in NY... Dealers buy there cars from these auction so u mine as well go to the soure and save thousands of dollars.. Last time i went 99 Vette Loaded 15000 miles 23000
