Has anyone seen these around? I saw them on a VW Golf and they looked pretty damm good. They look coser to that hid color than anything I have seen before. Does anyone happen to know what company makes them and where you can buy them from?

www.autolamps-online.com PackRat swears by this place. I have some Xenon bulbs in mine and I wish I had a nickel for everytime someone has asked me if they were real HID's.

Since T-red SVT mentioned my name, I might as well put my 2 cents in. My ratings of bulbs:
PIAA Superwhite: Stock wattage. Nice white color with a hint of pink and purple in the reflector. Not as bright as stock but at least they were white. You can find PIAA bulbs for as low as $65 if you do your homework. 3800K color temp. Worth the money?: Maybe if the bulbs last longer than a year. I had one burn out and I didn't replace them.
Sylvania Cool Blue: Stock wattage. Whiter than stock but not as white as PIAA superwhites. Pretty cheap if you find them on sale. Noticed that they really made reflective road signs and markings light up. I didn't notice a significant drop in visible light as compared to stock. 3600K color temp. Worth the money?: Yes.
Philips BlueVision: Stock wattage. Pretty much the same performance as the Sylvania Cool Blue's. 3600K color temp. Worth the money? Yes.
Philips Premium: Stock wattage. These bulbs are clear but are 30% brighter than stock bulbs. Excellent performer on the high beam side. 3200K color temp. Worth the money? Yes.
APC Plasma Superwhite: High wattage. Bright blue white color. One burnt out after three days. They were decent performers during their short life. 4000K color temp. Worth the money? Not for only three days worth!
Hiper Superwhite: Stock wattage. Don't bother. So dim I was getting eyestrain. 3800K color temp. Worth the money? No!
APC Plasma Ultrawhite: Stock wattage. On a par with Sylvania Cool Blues/Philips bluevisions. I currently have these in the GP (9007). This is APC's DOT approved bulb. The low beam is ok but the high beam is weaker than stock bulbs. This may be just with my car. At least they were cheap. 4000k color temp. Worth the money?Only if you don't pay more than $25 a pair.
Cuzo HyperWhite: high wattage. Bright silver-blue color but one of the filaments was off axis, screwing up the beam pattern. 4300K color temp. Worth the money?Yes if your pair isn't screwed up.
If I were you, I would bid on an Ebay auction and see if you can get a low bid. Sometimes there's over a dozen separate auctions for those Nokya bulbs, most with few or no bidders. I got a pair of PIAA Superwhite 9007 bulbs for my uncle as a birthday gift for $50 when they were first released on Ebay when they were retailing for almost $100!
