I really want to know where I can get a hold of the shortened rods that hold your hood up at shows. Now that i have an aftermarket hood, i want to show it off as well as under the hood. Anyone know where I can get some?
I have no one else to turn to =)


And please, if this topic has already been discussed, sorry, I'm new here but I know how annoying that is when ppl do it on the Cougar board

You should just get some hood struts...get rid of that crappy looking hood prop. Struts are much better.

You can make one very easily from aluminum bar stock found at Home depot. I got one for $2.49 for a four foot stick. If it's really trick, it's not a hood prop rod, but actually goes into the hood latch loop, then down into the actual latch. Keeps the hood high enough for people to look at, but locked in at a low enough height for peace of mind if you have to leave the show.
