I dont know about u guys, but when i drive at night all the bugs get attracted to my head lights and then end their lives by colliding into my bumper, headlights, hood and window. After not bothering to try and take their bodies off my car for about a month, i decided to try something. I went under moms sink and found an amazing little product called Goo Gone. That crap wors fricken amazing. Squirt it on, let it soak in for a few secs and rub off. It also took all the tar and crap that was built up pretty thick around my Dads A6 right off. I suggest it highly if u have any little glitches that are annoying the hell out of u. Plus, im sure some of u have it, but that California Blade for drying ur car is the F'n show. So easy, and no streaks, dries so fast. Well neway, im done with babling. Leave any other tips on this post if u have some. Later

I detail cars for a living and yes goo gone is a great product. It is not meant for painted surfaces especially a car paintjob which is very fragile. Don't you thing that something that takes bugs off that well will also eventually do damage to your paint. I think if you read the warnings on the back it says something about not using it on painted surfaces. A safer way to get bugs off is to use a 50/50 mix of alcohol and water. Spray it where the bugs are and use a soft damp cloth to rub them off. Also the sooner the better when it comes to bugs and bird c**p. These two things are very acidic and eventually etch themself into the paint. So remove them as soon as possible. eek

Goo Gone IS a great product, and it WILL TAKE OFF PAINT. I had some paint on my rear window, don't ask, and the goo gone took it right off. I also used it to remove those colored paint markings on new tires! So you don't have wait for them to wear off. laugh

Heres an idea for you...wax the headlights when you wax your car as well as the windshield. Its serves double duty as RAIN-X also laugh

I don't have access to my pics right now but if you do search in the "pics and video" section and look for Striped SVT you'll see my ride. You will have to go WAY back, like as far back as it will take you or just do a search and I think that will also help you out. Thanks for the interest in the car and I'd like to invite you out to our meet on the 1st of Sept, that is if your in the area!
