does anyone have lights or attempted to put lights in the rear light/reflector bar?

i am looking into this as well.

I was possibly making it into having four lights 2(left) 2 right

that would tie into the brake lights ....

the other thing i was thinking is putting some strobes there and with the headlights and wiring it to the panic on my alarm.


haven't figured out what i am going to do yet.

It has been attempted in the past with mixed results. The major obstacle is lack of space. There is less than 1/2" of space between the red reflector and the black backing material. Those who were trying were looking into placing LED's in there since they're pretty small. Do a forums search and see what others have done.

fiber optics would be the "key" in this situation

Someone has already done this and had pics a few months ago...not sure who though. I think he used LED's. 3 or 4 on each side. He put them on thru bottom of the reflector.

putting in strobes wouldn't be too much of an issue space wise....i just neede to watch when i use them

Something is in the works like the 96-98 Lincoln Mark VIII. Just hang on a few more weeks.
