Ok, after much comtemplation I am leaning towards getting myself some. Yeah yeah, dont say it. Anyway, I just want to know how long it is going to take me for the initial setup. I want a deep deep shine but I dont want to polish the thing once a day or even once a week. Help me out you Zainholics.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA....ahhh, the irony. Sorry, I had to do it. After all that...well this is just funny. I can't help you with the Zaino though, as I have better tricks up my sleeves Good luck with it, though. Hopefully the Cultists will forgive you and offer some help

Yeah I know, but with all the people on this board switching from products they've used for years over to this stuff, well, I figure that's gotta say something.

It will take you all day to wash, clay, wash, Z1, Z5, then Z2 the car. Don't forget the Z6 in-between.
After that, it makes the car very easy to clean, and the car stays cleaner longer than with any other wax/polish I've tried.

Tim, your paint is pretty new, so you shouldn't have to spend much time w/ the claybar, and you only need to spend time w/ the z5 if you have swirls. So wash it in dawn, then go over it again w/ the z7 wash (if you want, run the clay over the car in between those) then wipe on the z1, and jump right in on the z2. The first time takes a little longer, but after that you basically wipe the stuff on, let it dry, and wipe it off.
It's all about balance.

Rara has is right. I'd use a clay bar to make sure the surface is good. It shouldn't take long. If no swirls, just jump into Z2 after Z1. The first coat will take a while to dry because you apply the Z2 over Z1 and both have too dry. I'd let it either sit in the sun for a few hours or overnight in a garage. After just one coat, probalby notice little difference in appearance. Your car is for show so I think 4-5 coats of Z2 will really show the difference. Don't worry, after the first application, the next ones you put on so very thin and it only takes and hour to dry in the sun. Each coat of Z2 will take about 15 minutes to apply and 15 to take off with the hour between to dry. But, you must wait until the next day to apply the next coat. Just hit it with Z6 right before you apply the next coat and you won't have to wash it everyday. Tim, I will be at the SVTOA meeting tonight it you want to see my car with 1 Z5 and 2 Z2 coats. I washed it this morning before I came to work. Unfortunatly, I don't think i can make Saturday's autocross.

I too am new to Zaino. The instructions say to apply Z2 right over the Z1 without removing Z1 first. If I do this, when do I apply Z5( I do have swirl marks), and how often should I use the Z1 in combination with the Z2 -just the first time???

Black/blue,
In your case, use the Z1 the first time, then the Z5. When you are ready to apply your next coat of either Z5 or Z2, do not use Z1. The next time you use Z1 will be 6 months from now, even though you may want to put 10 coats of Z2/Z5 on before then. Make sure to use Z6 between each coat of Z2/Z5.

okay,okay
Three coats of Z1, added to a coat of Z2, along with Z5, but remembering to use Z6 in between the Z5 and Z2. Top it off with some Z8, and I end up with a Z06?
WOW :D, you guys do need help.
