What kind of frame? Just any ole frame? I picked up one at my school's bookstore. Nice silver/pewter looking stuff. Before that, I had a flat black one from Pep Boys.

you got your license plate frame at your school's book store? lol. i don't know, maybe something racey, like a frame for a company which makes parts for our tours, or domestic drag racing or something, i don't know. i know some people have had svt frames, but i don't have a svt. i guess i'll check out pep boys, i know they have them.

Yea, school pride! Or something like that. Actually, a couple of the screw covers on my black frame fell off so I felt like replacing it. Saw the frame as I was on my way to pick up some pencil lead and bought it on an impulse.

Here's a couple links I found on Google:
http://www.auto-gifts.com/licplatfram.html
http://www.autobarn.net/licenseframes.html
http://www.autoxpressions.com/cusen.html
http://autoplates.com/ki06000.htm
http://www.modernperformance.com/ford/indiglo_license_frame.htm (is that racey smile )

I either want one that says "rally drivers do it sideways" or says, written upside down, "if you can read this please flip me over"

97 Zetec MTX Sport
Esslinger UDP; Nology HotWires and BERU Silverstones; Sylvania Silverstars (high beam in low beam)
Dual Fiamm air horns
Mk1 Mondeo Clear corners(and yes I made them fit....)
Boston FS80's in the front

Micah's PRE98 SVT front bumper, W/ Mirko splitter(yet to be painted)

Rally drivers do it sideways......

I looked long and hard for one from Bassani, or from SVT. I really would have liked a Bassnani plate frame, but luckily I didn't find one.

Why was I lucky, you ask? Because I ordered one from Griot's Garage instead. Stainless steel coated matte black, which looks very sweet on my black SVT. I took off the rear SVT emblem and put one up front in place of the grille oval...much nicer on both ends. Best of all, the Griot's frame comes with a clear plastic protector that goes in front of the plate. This was an unexpected surprise...it fits into these tabs on the back of the plate frame, as does the plate itself. Because they are tight fitting in these metal tabs, the nasty vibrations caused by my subwoofer are gone! Also, it sounds nice and solid now when I close the trunk.

It was 30 bucks, well worth it. Best plate frame I could find...and believe me, I searched the Internet over and over looking for one.

BY THE WAY... I still have a brand new, chrome plated brass frame with "FORD" written on the bottom, flanked on both sides by the Ford Oval. All laser etched, top notch, and the ovals are full color. I bought two a long time ago, and one has been in my closet still brand new and untouched (I thought I needed one for the front plate, stupid me). I paid 30, if anyone wants it...20 bucks, I will pay shipping.
