I looked long and hard for one from Bassani, or from SVT. I really would have liked a Bassnani plate frame, but luckily I didn't find one.
Why was I lucky, you ask? Because I ordered one from Griot's Garage instead. Stainless steel coated matte black, which looks very sweet on my black SVT. I took off the rear SVT emblem and put one up front in place of the grille oval...much nicer on both ends. Best of all, the Griot's frame comes with a clear plastic protector that goes in front of the plate. This was an unexpected surprise...it fits into these tabs on the back of the plate frame, as does the plate itself. Because they are tight fitting in these metal tabs, the nasty vibrations caused by my subwoofer are gone! Also, it sounds nice and solid now when I close the trunk.
It was 30 bucks, well worth it. Best plate frame I could find...and believe me, I searched the Internet over and over looking for one.
BY THE WAY... I still have a brand new, chrome plated brass frame with "FORD" written on the bottom, flanked on both sides by the Ford Oval. All laser etched, top notch, and the ovals are full color. I bought two a long time ago, and one has been in my closet still brand new and untouched (I thought I needed one for the front plate, stupid me). I paid 30, if anyone wants it...20 bucks, I will pay shipping.
