I recomend it to anyone. My silver svt has never been better. that stuff is so good. my car sat on the back lot for a long time at swansons ford in los gatos because they didn't want to sell it to anyone. they only showed it to people who asked about it. as a result it was neglected, dirty and grimy. ive polished and waxed it a couple times and it still felt gritty. i used the Mequiers clay bar and detailing liquid and the whole car feels like glass. now if my zaino would get here i could polish it.

yeah i can't wait to apply mine, i have a similar situation... my silver svt was bought used and the paint is in good shape but very gritty. hope i have the same results

I think any clay bar is awesome! Louis loved the Zaino clay bar on his car, I loved Mother's on mine. Any clay seems to really make a difference.

My car has lived outside for 5 years (pollen, bird crap, dirt, other airborn pollutants), spending some time with the clay bar made the paint feel smooth as a baby's behind. Zaino made it look better than it did when I bought it almost 4 years ago. Really shiney, nice deep color to it. I've always thought that teal cleaned up real nice like, Zaino just make it even nicer. Looked, IMHO, better than it ever did using the 3 step Meguiar's Gold Class stuff.

Hey if you loved the clay bar so well wait until you try the Mequiers wax, oh thats right you went with Zaino...too bad!

Anyone use that stuff or anything simular on a BLACK car. How does it work. I tend to have some swirl marks in my paint.

Clay bar is not meant to remove swirl marks. It is used to clean the paint surface of embedded particles, mostly rail dust. Once you've done it, the paint/clearcoat will have a smooth feel to it. This really helps prepare the surface for whatever kind of polish/wax you decide to put on.

I had good results with the Meguiars Clear coat body scrub. Great product.

Clay rocks. It really cleans things up for a
full ground-up waxing. Just don't do it too
often; the effect isn't required many times,
and you do take a bit of your clearcoat each
time you go at the paint with it. Moderation
is the key.

Yes, claybars remove a very thin layer of your clearcoat. Depending on condition of the paint and exposure to contaminants, claybars should only be used 1-2 times per year. Cleaning every 3 months with a mild polish such as 3M Imperial Hand Glaze (not really a glaze, technically) will keep the paint clean, smooth, and prepare it for wax.
