Never done it and I am thinking of doing it this weekend. I don't want to spend a small fortune on Zaino. What is the best cheap stuff and how do I go about doing it?

Probably Zymol. Everything but Zaino will only last 3-4 weeks. I invested in Zaino because I'm lazy.

If you don't have a lot of time, don't wax.
I just washed it this morning and it looks fricking sweet now. Here's what I did:
1) Wash with Dawn & H20 2) Towel dry 3) Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover 4) Buff off 5) Meguiars Step 1 Wax/Cleaner 6) Buff off 7) Meguiars Clear Coat scrub 8) Buff off
But actually my dad swears by NuFinish. It seriously does last almost a whole year. He has used it for years and it makes water bead RIGHT OFF!

the way I go about is get a cleaner wax, than the next stage up in a polish( b/c that is what makes a car shine) then if that isnt good enough go on to a higher polish. And in my books Meguairs is the only way to go. Later Nick

i use meguiar's and am very happy with it.
if your paint looks bad, you should do the whole process which takes a long time.
you could just use their "cleaner wax" which works very well on its own. but i'm not sure how well it would work on a dark blue.

By the way --- a lot of Dawn and some cold water works better than the damn Meguiar's car cleaner, or any other for that matter! I heard that it is bad for paint, but cars are clearcoated so I doubt it would be a problem.

I used all 3m products (1)wax cleaner,(2)swirl remover,(3)polish, then the (4)wax. Dawn for paint prep then washed with regular car wash to insure no Dawn was left on the car.Did it in the garage to prevent contaminents and to stay clear of the sun.7 hours later and she shined like she never has before I was amazed at the quality of the product. Looks like a red mirror.
