I bought 3M adhesive, tar and wax remover. It's says it removes tree sap, adhesive, silicone, greace, and oil.

and it say will not harm most cured automotive paints. it also says will not dissolve or mar paint that has been properly aged. Also suitable for use on vinyl or glass surfaces. and it says. Allow product to soak surface. Pressing hard will cause cloth to dull surface.

Will this stuff work, should I use it? confused

If you are scared, just use your thumb. The worst thing that could happen is you would get a blister that way....

Better safe than sorry

I removed my door guards and then used my thumb to get rid of the adhesive. And T-redSVT is 100% correct a blistered thumb is what I got. But the car looks really coo now!

I use this tuff all of the time, works well. Didn't need to use it to remove the foam stuff though, only the residue left behind.

Yes, very bad. Only 3M will work on our cars! (j/k, I have stock in 3M :))

I used Goo Gone. No damage to paint. Made foam and adhesive more gooey, but not sure if it really helped.

I, too, am a member of the blistered thumb club.

Doesnt everyone agree with me though when I say, our blistered thumbs are worth the pain. The tour looks a lot smoother now!

Ding guards are on and will stay on...just can't understand you guys. Mine were off during the paintjob and the car looked empty afterwards. Ding guards on and all better now.
