air bags dont take very well to our mcpherson front strutted cars.....hydros is the best way to go but can be very very messy and a pain in the ass to deal with if you dont know what ur gettin.....also u need to have some knowledge about a hydro system to be able to figure out why ur leakin all that battery acid and oil in your trunk....=)look between 2500-3000 grand for a good setup....make sure you get accumulators or else ur gonna ride like ****.......me and bro got this ready to go in about 3-4 weeks.......and some 19s to tuck under dem fender wells=) it will literally lay on the sideskirts.....LA is the place for this kind of stuff....there are dozens of shops that can handle this kinda job

Actually, they do make straight bolt-on air bag set-ups for Mcpherson struts. Pick up any compy of Lowrider Magazine, Lowrider Euro, or Mini-Truckin and look for the ad. The bags itself run about $500 per pair, plus air lines, gauges, tanks, and fittings. When I checked for a full kit, it ran $1700. I knew enough to just piece together the things I would need without buying the kit. Also, they are less trouble because if you spring a leak it's just air.

i never said they didnt make air kit for our car....its jus that what you really would want is an air cylinder kit, not airbags......those bag struts are made by AIM industries and or huge peices of ****.....first off they dont even slam you.....im lower than they will ever get me and im on cut springs.....secondly they leak like a ***** and are basically cheap peices of crap.....

Brent, have you had a set of these Strut/ Rods? You sound like you've had some experience with them. I've worked with many bag setups before, but not with the one for the McPhearson strut yet. I wondered if you were speaking from experience or not.

no alleyway those are just the strut bags.....air cylinders are and actual aluminum cylinder that fills with air.....much more durable.....adam i have also had many experiences with bag and cylinder setup and have installed many sets on my freinds cars....and yes im sure uve done them hondas and let me tell u our mcpherson suspension is much more com plicated beacuse of the fact that the strut twists in its pocket as we turn out wheels.....talk about wearin out O-rings on the cylinders......ive never installed the AIM industries bag struts but have seen them on a contour and they SUCK!!!! they dont slam the car but about 3 inches......the owner said they leaked all over the top mount etc etc.......and basically are POSs
