Modify/custom grill for pre-98s?

The pre98's grill is pissing me off. I hate that BIG ford logo on it, it ruins the look. I took the badge off but behind it there's a solid block instead of honeycomb!? mad

Is there a way to melt it down/or modify it in some way to make the solid into honeycomb?

I look at it this way, which one looks better:

I know of one pre 98 that used the metal gutter gaurd and just molded it over the original grill. It looks very good. His username is Jose 97. He is in the Utah forum. Post there and see if he has any pics.

Just spray the plastic grille silver and voila a fake metal grille! It looks good...trust me...check out my sig for pics!

I have a billet grille for my 95. It was made kinda the same way with solid black for the ford emblem in the middle, but doesn't look as boring as the original. I'm gettin ready to take it out and put in a custom mesh grille I made. I took the honey comb out of the original grille and am using that as a frame for it. I'll post pics when I get it done and put on.

lol i did the same thing i took off my ford name and its just nothin!! dont know what to do but ill find somthing!! and hey contour guy where did u get the svt rims on your car looks great id like to get some for my 97 any info is much needed!! thanks laugh
