Hi,

I have seen a lot of pics with people that have white painted grille on ther svt. What kind of paint was used, did you do it yourself or have a shop do it.

Chrome painted grills. $4.00 can at Walmart. Reflects the sun just like metal. Looks very good.

Mystikal... sweet job on the grills. I can't stand the ugliness of mine. That color is so dull! Do you have any closeups of how it came out? or any comments of how good it came out? I'm interested in doing the same to mine...gotta do a little photoshop editing first to see what it would look like on a black svt...

i painted all of mine like 6 months ago.the back one is fine but the 2 front ones r looking pretty nasty,i guess from road crap hitting them.or did i just use cheap paint(walmart)it did look sweet when it was first done but now im thinking of getting some alu race grille.

I like them alot. I can maybe get some closeups but not sure that it will show how cool it actually is. The Chrome paint is extremely thick and hardens very nicely (takes about 2 days to dry). I put about 3 coats on. I just put the lower one on a few days ago so not sure of long term durability. The oval grill has been on for 2 months and it looks the same.

I have gotten nothing but compliments on them. It looks like silver until the sun hits them.

I primed them first then sprayed 3 coats on each. I did not use clearcoat because it had negative effects on the chrome paint. The clear made it plain silver and it took away the "chrome" look and sun reflecting properties.

If you are unsure on how it would look, go buy some (DupliColor: Chrome) and test it on something plastic. Take it out into the sun. You won't be disappointed!

I used the rustoleum primer and metallic silver paint (home depot) for my zetec and it is holding up well.

The grills were on when it was black and it looked just as sweet. There are some long distance views of some black SVT's with light colored grills in the pics and videos forum.

Do the SVT's come with the grill on the bottom, my 95 doesn't but I'd like to put one on. Do you know the dimensions of yours so I could cut it to make it fit or if their sold for pre 98 Tours anywhere?

for instance "hey dude!!" "yes" i reply
(as i start to get a boner cuz someone likes my car) "that car must be soooo fast with that yellow grill and all, wanna race?"
