Does anybody know if the center consoles will swap out with those of a different year? I am very frustrated with my cupholders and like the looks of the earlier consoles which come up flush with the radio mounting plate.... I have a 98 Contour Sport... can this be done?

The Ford Mondeo has that type of console but it also has a completely different lower dash design. I think a pre-98 center console could be made to fit with substantial cutting / shaping in the area where it meets the dash. I've done this before on other cars. This would let you keep your other one in case you want to revert. By no means a bolt-in mod though.
