OK this may sound kinda odd but does any one know if the rear outside door handles will fit in the front door handle spot. seeing as the rear ones dont have any lock holes, you would need remote keyless entry. I was thinking of doing this and wanted to get some opinions on it.

Hey,

I've shaved the back handles and i have them still. I'll look into it if i can find them, but they appear to fit.

Quite a bit.. Cost of the shave/fill, the paint job to blend it to match, the solenoids to pop open the doors, and the worries that one day your battery will die and you'll be screwed

I'm thinking about leaving the trunk keyhole for that reason, so I've got some way to get in the car if the battery dies.. You could also get an alarm that rolls down the windows, but it'll be a pain to keep opening the door from the inside, unless you wanna do it Dukes of Hazzard style.

FYI:

Enjoy!

Move the handle to under the door mirror TVR style, it'd be complicated, but it would save the worry of the battery dying.

On an even more unrealistic note, you should put the rear door handles in the rear sail panels Alfa 156 style...

the reason i only want to get rid of the locks and NOT the entire handle is i dont have the time or the money to do it. that does look pretty badass with them shaved though.

I carrie a portable jumper pack with me in case my battery goes dead I can jump off of that instead of someone else's battery. I keep it in my trunk. When I shaved my handles, I just ran a wire to the trunk and mounted a button on the exterior of the car out of site. If my battery ever goes dead (hasn't happened yet) I can clamp the positive of the jumper on that wire and the negative on metal in my trunk, press the button, and PRESTO my door opens. You could just carry two of those 6 volt batteries used for lanterns in your trunk and wire them up together if you didn't want to buy a jumper pack. I just already had the jumper pack.

You just got me thinking.. The old Berreta style verticle handles on the b-pillars might be interesting as well..
