When I was shopping for my car, I had noticed a very nice black SE with very wide side moldings (ding guards). Thats what I thought I would get. Unfortunately, my 98.5 came with the dinky small baguette style moldings people are ripping off their cars  I was wondering if anyone knew for a fact if some 98's came with the nice wide moldings, or if this was a special dealer add-on. I'd like to replace mine, as they are ugly and yellow. I recall seeing these moldings at Rona l'entrepot they can be up to 6 inches wide and they come with different patterns

The Mystique's have the wider door ding guards from the factory, at least, mine does... You could always order the mystique ones...

I have a 98 too and mine has crappy door dings, they are thin and already changed color, look like crap..The SVTs come with nice door dings, and Mystique have similar onse...Does anyone know how much do the SVT door dings cost, I want to replace mine, I would take them off completely but around here I cant, especially where I park in school no cares and if i look at my door dings I see bunch of scratches from other doors..

My E0 came with the Mystique-style wide ding guards. I haven't removed them because they look alright. They were decontented to the cheaper style sometime in 98.5. ------------------ Louis Wang Austin (Aug-May)/Sugar Land, TX 1998 Black E0 #3826, lightly modded
