I wanted to replace the rear ford emblem with the svt one. What is the best way to remove the ford emblem? Will I have to paint the place that I removed it from? If so, what is the best way to paint it?

Sorry if my post was confusing. I have an svt, I just want to transfer my svt emblem from the bottom left of the trunk and put it in place of the ford emblem in the center of the trunk.

from past experiences, dental floss works the best. It doesnt scratch the paint, and it's pretty tough

thanks everyone, but how do you get behind the rear FORD emblem. It is embedded into the chrome strip and dental floss will not get behind it. thanks

thats what i thought too. but if you look really close and start picking at it with your fingernail, youll see that there is a small gap behind it. granted it will not be nearly as easy as the front, it still shouldn't be that big of problem once you get the floss somewhat under it. ill be doing this mod soon, as soon as my emblems arrive in shipment (by next week hopefully). ill post more info later.

Dental floss didn't work on my badges, front or back. Worked on each for 20 minutes and was no closer to getting them off than when I started. I might try the wire idea.
