those bra are nice for long trips in the dry, but don't let it sit on there if it gets wet. You can easily end up with a line across your hood and fenders from where the bra traps the water which has all kinds of dirt and dust and general crap in it and then it rubs your finish. This is what's happened to my wife's Malibu with one on it only during the summer!

I have one of the front edge of the hood ones that I put on when I take a long trip, but I take it off as soon as I can once I get where I'm headed.

See the problem with my paint is that small rocks are really gouging the hell out of it. I don't really think you can mess the paint on the front piece any more than it is now. The way I understood it was that when it is wet you take it off and to apply a several real good coats of wax to the area before the first use then often after.

well you know I have heard a bunch of bad things...but luckily I have heard that the SVT paint job for the contours stick very well...it may not be the best looking but has good quality to sticking and reacting well to moisture and so on...but it always a good idea to be safe and take it off every month or two...I sold mine though...and it wasn't the greatest to take on and off all the time...not bad, but not convenient...

Anymore questions...feel free to email me or post here bjensen@mail.unomaha.edu

I had a bra on my '95 SE for over 3 years with no scratches or fading . I will be getting one for my new SVT as well (thanks for the info SVTbrad) . One thing to remember with a bra is to keep it clean underneath . Remove it when you wash & clean the underside of the bra while it's off & you'll have no problems . I want to get one for my SVT while there's no chips yet .
