hey everyone--
I just bought a black 98 SVT Contour last week, and it didn't come with the original(any) floormats... can anyone tell me where I can find some SVT floormats and how much they'd likely cost?
thanks!

You have to go to a Ford dealer. I think around $60 but not sure

Unless you have a good relationship with your local Ford parts department, you'll probably get screwed price-wise on the floor mats. Drop Bill Jenkins an email, he gives CEG members the best deals possible.

Couple weeks ago I got my All-Weather rubber mats from Bill. They match the interior identically and are specically made for your vehicle. I have a Mystique so it has Mystique and Mercury written on them, but they make them for all models. Only $37.00 or so for both fronts. I'll be keeping these in all year, the carpeted ones wore out/stained too easily. I'm very happy.

I was under the impression that the SVT Contours had special floormats? If that's not the case, then I'd just get any normal mats.
Do/did they make SVT-only mats? I mean, I know they're only floormats, but I kinda want the ones that are supposed to go with the car, especially if they are different from the regular mats.
Thanks!

Yes, there are special mats for the SVT's.
The SVT mats have SVT embroidered on them in silver. At least that's what it is with my Mid. Blue interior.
I tried looking for the SVT-style mats about a month ago just to have on hand but I was unsecessful, both in FL and MI.

I was able to obtain a set from my local SVT dealer. Beverly Hills Ford 310-276-3673 They were a little pricey, because they were a special order item. I paid 70.00 for the set of 4 Midnight Blue floor mats. The front 2 are embroidered with SVT logo in silver. part# F8RZ-5413300-AAA Check with any ford dealer, they should be able to get them for you... Hope this helps..

Or go back to your dealer and make them get you a set. After all, they're supposed to come with your car, it's not just an option. I drove off without mine, realized it, went back, and they said "Oh yeah" and brought them out from the back.
