Just venting...the "orange peel" effect of crappy Ford paint is amazing...I own 2 Fords and 2 BMW's, all are 5 years old or newer. Of course the Bimmers will have flawless paint...they're Bimmers! However, looking at the paint on my friend's Hondas, I see that cheap cars CAN have nice(r) paint.

I get comments on my paint all the time, but that's because I know how to properly detail with the best products available. When I detail the Bimmers or help detail an Si or two, it pisses me right off how inferior out paint really is.

Being bored as I am I went to your other photopoint gallery. Where did you get that Radiohead poster?

The Radiohead poster is from the official merchandise site, imported from England...it takes forever to get one, about 2-3 months.

I beg to differ, the paint on my SVT is smooth as glass with no flaws.

Oh, mine is much smoother than glass, don't get me wrong...literally, the clean windows feel rough compared to the paint. However, the paint has the orange peel factory pretty bad. That is not a defect, I guarantee your paint has it too (maybe you just don't know what orange peeling is)...just cheap Ford paint.

I would say I am being picky...but if Honda can do it then so can Ford.

If you have orange peel, couldn't you wet sand it to get rid of it? When i had my lowrider (shut up, i was young), after my paint job it had orange peel and i had the guys wet sand it. Ended up with mirror finish.
