Hey, does anyone know where to get felt tape for use as a de-squeaking pad?

What I mean is those strips of felt that get used in cars, about 1mm thick by 4-5mm wide.

I want to de-squeak the wifes '96....

Try Organ Supply. They are a pipe organ supply house in PA I think. You should be able to get in about 3/8 and 1 inch widths. Kinda expensive though. You get about 50 feet. The colour is usually dark brown.

You might try going to your local Ford parts counter and see if they will sell you some. Ford(a couple years ago)made a little kit for the service dept. that had about six different types of 'anti-squeak' materials. It was very cool, I took some 'samples' from the dealer I worked for and have been using them in my last car and my 'tour. They work very well. There was an 800 number on the package, something like 1-800-ROTUNDA?? Not sure anymore, ask the parts guy he might know. HTH
