does anyones car ding when you open the door or do i have some kind of problem?

Mine goes ding !

It's pretty annoying sometimes , but I guess it has it's merits . As far as I know , they all should have it .

Mine dings in my 98.5

I think they all ding, its just if you open the door and have left your keys in the ignition or you have left your lights on. It'll keep you from coming back to a dead battery or keys locked in the car.

the ding comes from the lock-tumbler not fully "popping" out when you remove your keys... i read this from someone on this board about 6 months ago because I had the same question

SO... when you get out of your car next time and take the keys out and you still hear the "ding, ding, ding" and your lights are off, just push on the ignition tumbler (where you put the ignition key) and it should pop back out and the "DING" goes away

ok well mine has no ding at all so if any one knows where that comes from that would be great! so i can fix it

ok look on the car and find the button that the door pushes. its a lil black nub. push it in and out a few times.. wiggle it around. thats how i fixed mine. Ding, ding ding ding

well the ding dosnt even come on when i leave my lights on

Took mine out.Know i can leave the door open with the radio on while cleaning.Just don't leave the headlights on by mistake or the keys in the car
