I see applications for SEs, but not for the SVT. I know the rear valance is in the way, but I saw a hitch on an early SHO where they cut a nice hole through it and capped it when not in use. Looked real good and professional. On the SVT, the 1 1/4 hitch receiver could theoritically go throught the mesh and look nice. Anyone have advice or experience with this venture? thank you. PK

Initially when I posted, I was going to say hold the smart-ass remarks, but no, I thought this might be a valid request. Guess not.

The CSVT has the power and the brakes to tow small items like motorcycles, boats, and tent trailers... in comfort and still carry 4 people. A truck is wasted space most of the time, but I dont want to argue the virtues of a truck versus car. I just wanted some info on using my SVT for more than a "zoom zoom, gotta race every mofo" car.

I've seen pictures of one on an SVT with a hole cut out of the rear valance. Any U-Haul should take care of it for you, except for the plastic cutting.

Hi, I have a trailer hitch on my 2000 CSVT. I pull around my Sea-Doo with it. I never had any problems pulling it around. I ordered the Hitch from a local shop here in NY. And I brought it to a shop near me and had them put it on. They made it fit!! laugh But they had to cut a hole in the mesh and cut a part of the stock exhaust hangers to make it fit. But if you didn't know I had a hitch you wouldn't see it. They did a really good job blending it in to the mesh. I will try to take some pics this week and send them to you or post them on this site.

xlnt. Thank you , Godzilla. I presume its a 1 1/4" receiver type. Pics would be appreciated, and then could archive this thread for future.

shoB4svt,

I see this type of post come up every few months. I have a 99SVT with a hitch and no mods to the rear valence.

If you do a search, you will find my post, complete with hitch manufacturer info and a picture of my car with hitch installed.

I agree with you. The SVT does have the power and the brakes to tow. I have only done so once, but I appreciate that I can haul ass or garbage, whatever I prefer.

Kerry
