I can't believe this hasn't been posted before. I made a quick search of the past postings and I saw nothing on this.

As you all know, the cup holders on the console under the radio are close to being the most useless ones in existance. Well, when my family and I were travelling, we had the opportunity to rent a Contour from Hertz. They had these plastic inserts that ran from the "pen holder" to the beginning of the shift part of the console. They allow you to actually put real cups in there and they wont tip over.

Has anyone else seen these? Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of them. Maybe the next time I'm at the airport, I'll look for them. If you have seen them, do you know where I might find one?

oh, that thing holds pens? Man, it's almost as useless as the 'change tray'. I got fed up with it all and just shoved everything under the armrest.. that fscker is a good 5" deep and change has no chance of flying out of there.

oh, the part number for the new cup holders is XS2Z-5413562-BAA. you can get it from most ford dealers for $10-15.
