This is for non-SVTs, (SE's and LS's). I was tired of looking at the ugly rocker downstanding flange with spot welds every 3 inches, due to Ford cost reducing the rocker moldings (ground effects) for 2000 MY. I wnat the rockers covers, but for a budget fix I finally found a black molding about 5/8" wide with a strong 3M adhesive backing to attach down there under the rocker. It was from Murrays autoparts, a generic black molding for trucks in a 20 foot roll. Tremendous appearance improvement, not hokey at all, you basically can't see the black, it blends in with the car shadow. Tip - clean thoroughly with a strong cleaner first, and I don't know about durability, its been fine for a month, we'll see after winter. May have to scoop out 2 places for hoists, or tell them to only jack by suspension lift points, not the rocker. Will keep posted.

Good Idea, ContourGuy!

Actually mentioned it to my buddy with a 2000 Mysty. He might do it. Don't worry, your post wasn't in vain....
