ok after searching the archives i have afew questions about fuel injectors..
1. in one post Terry says that returnless fuel injection systems are top feed and return type have side feed. or words to that effect.
i have a 97/98 registered mondeo st24 (170bhp), on the barcode on the side of the engine it dates 06/04/97. i was looking in the haynes manual and it clearly shows top feed injectors on a return type rail. so i checked on my car and it has creamy white top feed injectors with the numbers 0280155771 cast on them. does anyone know if these are 16,17,or 19lb injectors.
2in another post some also say that the seating arrangement differs also.
is this in relation from top feed to side feed, or return to nonreturn type?
3 there is another post when someone fitted s/h 24lb return type injectors with links to pictures (that no longer work) apparrenty showing two types of electrical connection agian suposedly show differences between return and non return type systems. and as long as the connetors ar the same they state it makes no defferance wether you have return/returnless on your duratec.
i suppose what i am tying to establish is if i get a non return lower intake from BAT with top feed injectors, will it work ok with my top feed Return type fuel system/rail?
