Went today and go the stock resonator swapped out for a 4" diameter by 14" long Magnaflow unit...what a difference! laugh

The sound is nice and deep, with no rasp or drone that I can tell. Really makes the car sound great! And $85 installed...how can you beat that?!

Definitely recommend this mod to anyone that's looking for greats sound for cheap $$. I've done my share of mods on the cars previous to this one, and this definitely ranks among the greatest "bang for the buck" that I have ever done...

Gee...can you tell I like it? laugh Now...go out there and get it done to yours!! wink

My greatest bang for the buck mod would be removing the ding guards.

Bang -- myriad unspeakable improvements on looks.
Buck -- a few cents on water and WD-40.

Yaaaah.. Magnaflow GOOOOD! Way better than straight pipe, or glass pack. Much more refined sound.

borrow a TiG welder and some SS pipe and build your own custom system.

Hey ZAP...... Would you mind posting up a part number on that Magnaflow? Is this a hi-flow resonator? or just a muffler?

THANKS!
Jason

Zap - Did you leave the stock mufflers & ends or go to magnaflows there also? I'm going into Midas to get my magnaflo resonator and mufflers installed.
THX!

OK...where to begin? laugh David...I live in Pearland also...as a matter of fact, I bet you were the guy that I gave the OK to through my sunroof on 288! I've got the silver SVT, and yeah I bought it off the couple in Pearland...

I had the work done in Alvin at Alvin Muffler. They do GREAT work...we have had a lot of vehicles done there and have been pleased everytime. If you are interested, call them and ask for Kyle...tell him Ryan Zapalac sent you. I will tell you that he cut a little better deal than normal for me because we do so much business there. However, he said that if anyone else ever wanted the same setup, he would do it for $95 installed...still a HELL of a deal. If you'd ever like to hear it, let me know and we can meet up...

Now, Guilty and Lee's questions...the part number on the resonator is M-14415. All I had them do was cut out the stock resonator and replace it with the Magnaflow. I was going to get Magnaflow mufflers too, but IMHO I don't think it needs it! At idle, it has a nice deep rumble, and is very nice through the gears. Oh, and at cruising speed (~55-75 mph), there is NO drone...in fact, it is very nice and quiet, which is exactly what I wanted...good sound going through the gears, but quiet on long trips. Absolute perfection! laugh My advice to any of you is this...get the resonator put on 1st, and then drive it for a while. If it's not the sound you're looking for, then move on to different mufflers. I also kinda like having a bit of a "sleeper" in that there are not big polished mufflers and tips jutting out...just the stockers. I can't say enough about it guys...it really is a great sound for cheap $$! Hope this helps y'all out! laugh
