I just bought a new K&N intake kit and I am also looking into a new 65mm MAF from a cobra that is supposed to perform as well as an 80mm (seller said dyno's matched for both MAF's). He says I will need a 3 inch MAF adaptor to connect it. Does anyone know where I can get this part, or does anyone have one that I could buy?
Thanks

Will that one fit a 65mm one? Seems a little expensive...

$95 adaptor

$59.50 adaptor

They are even more!

Alright-check check. This guy originally told me that he was sending me a 65mm MAF that performed as well as a 80mm one. Now he told me that the one he is selling me IS actually 80mm. So, I guess I need an adaptor for an 80mm MAF which is off a cobra. Will this new MAF make a significant change in power with the K&N kit that I had purchased or is it not worth the $ and better to keep the stock MAF?

PS- Its dirt cheap at $75 like new

I hope you have an Apex-I or some other type of fuel air/management. You will need it.

btw: with a dremmel, it is VERY EASY to modify the stock maf in order to work with a 3" filter....

time = about 10 minutes
cost = 0$

I recently changed to a 3 1/2" MAF adaptor and found it was a noticable improvement on a V6 with a few exhaust and intake mods. IMHO a 3" (76MM) MAF adaptor/air filter isn't quite big enough...
