If you are trying to clean the MAF (mass airflow sensor) then you need an cleaner that is safe for electrical parts. You can probably find some at an auto parts store, but Radio Shack probably would have something too.
If you are trying to clean the throttle body, the Ford stuff you have at home will work fine, but it is a little harsh so use it carefully. I use it. I use an old toothbrush and scrub gently. There are cleaners specifically ment for cleaning throttle bodies. Look for one that says it's safe for use on teflon coated throttle bodies.
