I posted this in the Zetec forum, but thought I would post here as well.
I have until Oct. 5th to get my 'Tour running fast.
Its the last racing event for sport compact cars here in th Portland area.
I've been saving for asecond car so money has been tight.
But now its time to kick the moding into overdrive.
So far my only real perfromance enhancing mods are;
Intake
Exhaust
Heat Shield
Oil Cooler
Synthetic fluids
Superchip
My future mods (to be done before Oct 5th);
E-Ram
Quaife
Nitrous
New heat shield
These take about just about all of the $2000 in budget I have.
Is there anything else I should consider? (Besides a turbo)
Anything else I should do to prep my car to safely run a 75 shot of Nitrous?
For weight reduction;
I'll be swapping to a Dyna-Batt battery, going with 1/4 tank of gas (95 octane), and taking out the spare and jack.
Most of the cars I'll be running against will be Preludes, Accords, Civics, and Integras.
The most common performance mods are header, intake, exhaust, chip, and NOS.
I just want to make a good showing and maybe win a couple races too.
What are my chances with the mods I got and will do?
Weather should be around 10-20% humidity and 65 degrees.
