Hey everyone, just as the topic states, curious what everyone thinks. Will going from the Sho-Shop off raod y-pipe to the MSDS headers be worth it? Car runs decently well now if you notice my current 1/4 mile best, but I can't help thinking about an aftermarket MAF, and a set of headers. Comments please!

Run the MSDS Y-pipe with the MSDS headers. Tuned package & it doesn't void the warranty.

Demon, thanks for the response. I'm planning on running the full Msds setup, but my question is do you think going from an off road y to the full header setup will yeild gains worth $600 + the 6 hrs. it's gonna take me to install them? Thanks for the insight.

Damn I sure hope so. I just did that a couple months ago... wink

Execept it only took me around 3.5 hours... :p

Seriously though; You are going to want to either gut the precats or go headers anyway since they are such a big restriction.

Also since I've had the precats off and dissected them; I see there is no way, even gutted, they are any where near as efficient as the short tube MSDS headers.

Are they worth the money? Probably, though they are a bit over priced (small market will do that frown )

Are they worth the labor? Easily. You'd have to do it anyway (and more) to gut the precats.

Demon, thanks for the thoughts. Yeah, I realize that you had done them just a few months back, but wasn't sure if they lived up to your expectations. So I guess they have huh? Looks like I'll be giving Marty a fax in a few minutes, oh and only 3-1/2 hrs. huh? That sounds better to me! laugh

I just had mine installed....one mechanic took
8 hours....but my labour costs in CDA are cheaper
and I trust these guys to get it done right
the first time. HUGE difference with the new
MSDS headers....I was smiling big time!
