As a follow-up to my MSDS Q...What's a MIL eliminator and where would it be installed concerning headers, where do you get them? Hey, I got a million questions, who has answers? :-) (guess you can tell I really want the headers) Dave

they come with the headers....I think they are Malfunction Indicator Lights (?)....they are the emissions sensors that trip the CEL lights on your dash....the kit from MSDS also includes new ford gaskets, so it is complete.

The Malfunction Indicator Lamp is the "Check Engine Light" on your dash. The MIL eliminator is a resistor and capacitor wired in to the harness of your downstream O2 sensors to electronically simulate a properly working O2 sensor and light off cat. With the headers, the light off cats are replaced with open pipe and would result in an out of spec reading from the downstream O2s if the MILs were not in place.

Thanks to everyone that replied, I'm going through with the headers and will look for the emissions testing site that looks like they need the business when inspection comes due.

TTFN Just be careful - get caught and I think both you and the station get fined for trying to skirt the rules. Hey, if you find one that is cool with it - let me know.
