ok but does the sho shop cai sound better than the kkm or k&n setups. i have stated b4 that i am not looking for an air intake for performance since it is not a significant amount. i would rather have one for the looks and sound. My girlfriend has an eclipse with an injen intake and just barely touching the gas u can hear that thing suck air and it sounds awesome. a buddy of mine also has injen. does any of these filters compare.

well, if another intake has better performance than KKM but not as good of sound...I'd go for performance. Just my opinion wink

i plan on getting the sho shop cai....it comes with k n n filter and a heatshield

it will be replacing the monster flow filter i've been running since jan...

the monster flow sounds great by the way but i want a k n n

someone also posted a link last week about a new amsoil high flo foam filter ...according to amsoil it is better overall than k/n

The SHOshop CAI is great. If you want sound it has it. Butt dyno responded well and the heat shield is a nice added bonus. The install is easy too. I would recommend that over anythin out there in the price range personally.

Just to let you know, we have been using a newly designed S&B Powerstack filter in our Duratec induction kits. These filters have, lets say what looks like the nose of missile, attached behind the inverted cone section. This is supposed to straighten out the flow or make it less turbulent as it passes through the filter. S&B also has tapered the interior edges of the collar to also enhance the air flow as it exits the filter. This is the theory, as noted by the literature we received. I'll see if I can get a pic.

any of these filters are going to be better than stock..i happen to be very pleased with my kkm..i can feel a better throttle response...and i'm comparing that to a k+n,which is what was on my car when i bought it...kkm totally outperforms it..and the price isn't too bad considering that mirko wants the same price for just the adapter..personally i think that you will probably be happy with any of the aftermarket filters..anything is better than the stock paper element..just my opinion though..
